Spelly and I are on another designing trip in Bali. Our minds are so full of ideas and designs and endless possibilities that sometimes we just look at eachother and burst out laughing!
Yesterday we took a break from designing in the city and took ourselves on a day-trip Ubud. The lush hillside town has a special place in my heart – on my first trip to Ubud (blogged here) I stumbled upon a silk painting factory and convinced them to take me on as an intern for a couple of days.
We had lunch at a dreamy organic cafe called Sari Organik set in in the middle of a huge expanse of rice paddy fields. As far as you could see lush green fields of unharvested rice spread out to the mountainous horizon. Storm clouds heavy with tropic thunder brewed in the distance. The location inspired a quick inspiro-shoot channeling that ‘lone girl on a journey’ feeling that we love!

  8. I love the sense of freedom in these photos, and happiness from the big smiles!

    You can almost feel the heaviness from the thunderstorm as well. I've never visited Bali, but there and Java/Indonesia are the places I have to visit soon, these photos do nothing to quench my wanderlust! Love the dress as well, definitely channeling free spirit roaming around the rainforest x
