Decadence and Deliverance

Last night I spent the evening with girlfriends, eating chilli Con Carne by a toasty fireplace. I felt safe, warm and protected. Late in the evening when I left to go home had to walk to my car via a steep driveway in pitch black darkness. There were no streetlights and my iphone had run out of battery so I had no torch – I was engulfed in the darkest cloak of night.
I walked through the bush, one foot in front of the other with my arms outstretched listening to the bats in the trees above me. Fear grew – I’m not sure what I was expecting to attack me – the bats, a spider or a gun toting madman, but when I finally got to the safety of my car I brushed my hair for stray spiders and turned my lights on high beam to ward off – whatever was out there.
The experience inspired today’s Friday post ; )

oh my what a story, if we our out in the woods we do not have spiders or bats like that! you have to brush you hair for spiders???? this compilation is indeed a bit strange, it is like those perfect Creatures! love it, the lady tree is so extraordinary
